about

Since I bought my first recorder - a Fostex MR-8HD that I ordered in 2007 to record my [literal] garage band - I have released music under the name Late Georgian. It's been an umbrella for my bedroom recorded sonic experiments. I quickly deemed it my musical diary and allowed myself to be vulnerable around a microphone because of it. But it also represents an innocent and naive version of the person I am today. I've since grown as a person. Seen more of the world. Learned how to cope. Learned how to love. But, as always, I'm still learning better ways to express myself.

This "album" is a collection of unfinished songs (recorded between 2008-2011) that, for one reason or another, were never finished or released. For years I have accumulated loads of these tracks on various hard drives and computers. I recently trudged through them all in a fit of nostalgia and came across many that I thought were complete (enough) to put online.

These are not tracks that necessarily represent the music I create these days. Instead they represent my strange journey of self discovery that has guided me through the years.

For the time being, this collection will serve as my own personal closure. The last page in this metaphorical diary. Not meant to be a final goodbye, but an end to this installment. I believe I have many books left to fill. Until next time, my friends... Farewell!
